Description: Since 2016 the Ukrainian Adult Education Association together with DVV International in Ukraine and ISAR ‘Ednannya’ has been implementing the program “Training of professionals in the field of adult education, including issues of civic education”, which inspired its participants for developing several training programs on active participation and support of democratic changes in the Ukrainian society. The Festival of Non-Formal Adult Education “Adult education and civic society development: experience, challenges, strategies” is intended as a step to a civic spirited intellectual community aiming to develop ideas helpful to citizens, to civic initiatives, to civil society, and toward the strengthening and enriching of democracy.
The organizers of the Festival will create a common space for professional interaction and exchange of experience of non-formal adult education providers and other stakeholders. strengthening participants networking. The event will promote raising awareness about the value of lifelong learning and contribute to the understanding of civic adult education and its role for the current development of an open democratic society.
