Before the conference, on the 28th of June, long awaited intercultural event „Get together” will take place bringing together seniors from all the participating countries to present culture and everyday life of their countries and providing the most active project participants a possibility to practice their newly gained English language skills. “Seniors On-line” is a two-year Baltic-Nordic project focused on ICT and English language learning for active aging. Launched in August 2015 the initiative is supported by the Nordplus Adult Programme.
It is implemented by a consortium of four partner organizations from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Finland. The project aims to strengthen English language and ICT skills of the seniors from Nordic and Baltic countries in order to help them overcome the challenges arising from the fairs of cultivating these skills in practice, foster communication between different cultures as well as create a solid background for seniors to apply newly gained competences in their everyday lives after the end of the project.
